At times in life we feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about our next steps. I offer a compassionate and collaborative approach to help individuals uncover their strengths, understand the deeper patterns in their lives, and build meaningful strategies for change. Together, we create a space where you can share your story without judgment and explore new ways to grow and thrive. Your time and energy are valuable, and choosing to invest in yourself through therapy is a courageous and transformative step.
I am a Certified Veterinary Social Worker and School Social Worker, drawing from a background of 25 years serving a diverse clientele and performing mental health research as a project manager and research associate within college counseling, veterinary medicine, industry-sponsored trials, through federally funded social policy and economics contracts, and multi-model models for treatment studies for depression. I bring you evidence-based practices to support your journey.
I tailor therapeutic interventions to your needs drawing from Trauma Informed Care, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy, and Worden's Grief Model. I also incorporate mindfulness principles and movement-based techniques as appropriate, informed by my background as a yoga teacher. Most importantly, my aim is harnessing your strengths as I'm here to support your goals.
My practice covers a range of mental health concerns, whether situational or ongoing, including anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, grief, family distress, life transitions, alcohol and substance abuse, and academic challenges. I also specialize in assisting college students, veterinary medical students and professionals, and animal owners.
In my psychotherapy practice, I support a diverse adult clientele through life transitions, relationship challenges, personal growth, and a broad spectrum of mental health concerns. While I work as a generalist, my recent focus includes:
Veterinary professionals and allied animal workers facing compassion fatigue, burnout, and trauma
Animal owners coping with grief, loss, and caregiving stress
Adults navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, grief, trauma, family distress, and major life changes
Students at all levels—undergraduate, graduate, and professional
I have chosen to work through a highly reputable and established therapy platform which includes supportive mental health tools, ease of verifying insurance, and access to a referral base for those deciding to seek medication management.
